It’s too hard to explain in words all that we are experiencing getting settled here in Poland. Pictures are worth a thousand words (so I hear!), so perhaps it’s best to just let the pictures do the talking. 🙂
Our direct flight was on Polish Lot from Chicago to Warsaw.
Our first week was more cloudy, cool and rainy as depicted in this shot from Old Town Warsaw where we went first after arriving.
Packed house at Tomy Church our first Sunday back.
Josh and I got to go see the school….
and walk the halls… can’t wait to take more pictures of the inside of the rooms once the teachers get in to set up their classrooms! Neat features that are must haves by the government over here in Poland!
Building site!! We got to go over today (Wednesday, August 3) and most of the mobile construction units have been moved out!
The center of Tomaszow…. this was under construction the last time we lived here… so beautiful now!
Road heading out towards where we live.
A city street heading into downtown.
Friends took us mushroom hunting, but discovered all these blueberries! It was hard not to stop and just pick and eat those!
This will be the room I will be teaching in!
Which one is the “one” to pick?! “Holes” not “lines! Yep- the yellow/green ones are the ones!
There were many different kinds of mushrooms, so it was important to know which ones we could pick!
German trenches all throughout the forests in Poland…like seen here.
Came upon a little chapel with this grave… the moss was particularly beautiful.
Front of the school where the older kids will be entering. This wall is where the second phase will take place for a gymnasium!!
Our little gem on Kwarcowa Street!
This is the door we enter and the upstairs balcony we have dubbed our “morning coffee balcony”!
The enclosed backyard is a little oasis with a patio and a shed for bikes. Our landlord has bikes we get to use!
Another view of the backyard and you can see the girls’ private balcony off their room!
This is a well!
